Since 1954, the Hub Lions Club Lubbock chapter has been driven by a simple philosophy: “We are small—but mighty!” Our dedicated members are your neighbors, friends, and local leaders who care deeply about the community and strive every day to assist those in need across the South Plains.
As the local extension of the world’s largest service organization, we ensure that every hour volunteered and every dollar raised directly translates into tangible support for our community. Our Core Commitments
Where Our Mighty Efforts Go
While our global organization is most famous for its fight against blindness, the Hub Lions support a wide range of vital local, district, and international service projects. Our efforts are channeled into supporting the following key programs:
Sight & Hearing Services
We are fiercely committed to sight conservation, supporting major initiatives like the Great Plains Lions Eye Bank and the Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center. We also contribute to the District’s efforts through the Lions Hearing Bank.
Youth Support & Camps
We empower the next generation by supporting organizations like the Texas Boys Ranch and the Texas Lions Camp, providing opportunities for children with special needs. We also facilitate the District 2-T2 Lions Youth Exchange program.
Health & Service Initiatives
We drive community wellness through specific programs such as District 2-T2 Diabetes Awareness and support the mission of the World Services For The Blind.
Local Fundraising & Fellowship
Our major event, the Harry Wickersham Golf Tournament, is a vital annual fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the Texas Lions Camp. We also support international initiatives through the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 6:00 PM at River Smiths Restaurant in Lubbock.
